This talk explores how web accessibility enables the creation of more inclusive and sustainable digital experiences. Attendees will learn to consider intersectionality in design, plan accessible projects from early stages, and understand the role of international standards. The session dives deep into the WCAG 2.2 framework, the legal implications of non-compliance, and the rise of digital accessibility lawsuits. Strategic benefits such as improved search rankings, broader audiences, and innovation opportunities will also be covered. Through practical examples, participants will understand how accessibility can become a competitive advantage.
This talk explores strategies for creating social media posts that are inclusive and understandable for diverse audiences. We will analyze how content, language, and visual format decisions directly impact digital accessibility. The session will cover the use of plain language, text structure, proper handling of hashtags, emojis, and content warnings. It will also dive into visual aspects such as color contrast, typography size, alternative descriptions, and the responsible use of motion and multimedia.
Companies often think of accessibility as legal compliance, but it represents an opportunity for innovation and market expansion. In this talk, we will explore how visionary leaders can incorporate accessibility as a strategic pillar of organizational culture, talent, and strategy. We will discuss real examples of companies that have restructured their values by placing accessibility at the center of their mission. Attendees will learn strategies to integrate accessibility into key processes, how to turn it into a competitive differentiator and talent retention factor, governance mechanisms, progress metrics, and a roadmap from commitment to corporate policy.
Designing for accessibility requires empathy, awareness, and practice. This talk invites participants to experience firsthand how users with different visual conditions perceive digital interfaces. We'll begin with a short talk introducing accessibility fundamentals and the UX/UI best practices that enhance usability for all. Then, attendees will participate in live visual simulations using accessibility glasses that replicate various visual conditions. In the final section, participants apply what they've learned by creating wireframes optimized for accessibility, redesigning real-world components while integrating accessibility checks and annotations.
A workshop that explores why so many neurodivergent employees and job seekers report misalignments, discontent, and difficulty getting through hiring processes, and then addresses ways that recruiters can create better job descriptions and accessible interview environments. The workshop also examines how common hiring practices — such as vague language, implicit expectations, and high-pressure interview formats — can unintentionally filter out qualified candidates.
Practical training focused on how to integrate digital accessibility into procurement processes, vendor evaluation, contracts, and legal compliance. Attendees will learn to evaluate vendors with digital accessibility criteria, identify legal and reputational risks, validate VPATs and compliance documentation, and integrate accessibility into RFPs and evaluation matrices. Covers an introduction to standards like WCAG 2.2, ADA, and Section 508, methodologies for inclusive vendor audits, and real cases of common errors in digital procurement.
This talk will educate attendees on the best accessibility practices linked to Search Engine Optimization (SEO); we will address how to create experiences able to further the reach of web visits, the click-through rate, and the optimization of them based on the page experience. User experience strategies will be developed, both in terms of the interface and in the technical aspect of their implementation. This talk is intended both for designers and product, marketing, and advertising strategists. Attendees will learn how technical accessibility, semantic HTML, and user-centered design strategies improve both discoverability and usability.
This talk explores how to create accessible presentations that can be understood by people with diverse abilities. Key accessibility principles applied to visual design, content structure, layout organization, and tool selection will be presented. Strategies to reduce friction, improve comprehension, and generate more equitable experiences will be shared.
This talk presents the fundamentals of using screen readers as a key tool for digital accessibility. Attendees will learn how people with visual disabilities navigate digital products, what elements facilitate content comprehension, and what design decisions can create barriers. Essential concepts such as semantic structure, keyboard navigation, differences between types of screen readers, and risks associated with accessibility overlays will be covered. Through practical demonstrations, participants will experience how an interface is interpreted from an auditory perspective.
This training covers tangible UX practices, language ambiguity management, and verbal communication that promote neurodivergent accessibility. The talk covers design for dyslexia, ADHD, and different processing rhythms, as well as the use of visual structures (hierarchies, lists, images) and non-literal representation. It includes writing strategies such as step mapping, enumeration, and signposting, the use of simple sentences that maintain specificity, and the reduction of flowery or figurative language. It also includes user-testing examples in material creation and may include a practical section where ambiguous sentences are corrected.
This talk explores neuroinclusive strategies that help managers improve clarity, productivity, and team performance. We begin with a brief overview of neurodiversity and the hidden costs of ambiguity in the workplace. Through legal cases and everyday examples, we examine how unclear expectations and inaccessible systems lead to friction, missed deadlines, and avoidable conflict. The talk covers three key areas: Reducing Ambiguity Through Clarity (neuroinclusive performance audits, clearer instructions, measuring performance); Increasing Productivity Through Inclusive Infrastructure (low-distraction spaces, quiet policies, alternative work options); and Redefining Culture-Fit (fostering employee loyalty by reframing engagement and collaboration).
Could our tried-and-tested design recipes end up becoming irrelevant? Now more than ever, there's a desire for designing and communicating something that feels real. This talk explores how the industry can move beyond standardized inclusion efforts and embrace the broad spectrum of human emotion, as well as the wide range of human identities. We'll examine how design decisions can express real emotions and create authentic experiences that resonate with global audiences.
Heroes are made by the path they choose, not the power they are graced with. The impact of your design decisions doesn't end on your screen. The greatest impact is to influence the capacities of an organizational process that will level up how we interact with our environment. This conversation focuses on how design decisions have an impact on the dynamics of cultural organizations and how designers can be catalysts for positive change in their communities.
The vast majority of designers find themselves in the dilemma of sacrificing their designs to meet the goals of their companies to generate sales. This talk offers a refreshing perspective where we see how emotions can be the basis of your designs to attract customers using conversion techniques, optimization for web pages and mobile applications. Learn how to create designs with emotions that improve the sales of your products and/or services, balancing aesthetics with business results.
